cmc Jai Christo & Jai Rani Provinces Celebrate Golden and Silver Jubilees

PALAKKAD – In a grand testament to faith and lifelong commitment, the Congregation of the Mother of Carmel (CMC), Jai Christo Province, Palakkad, and Jai Rani Province, Coimbatore, celebrated the Golden and Silver Jubilees of their beloved Sisters on Saturday, April 11, 2026.

The event, held at the Mercy College Auditorium, brought together clergy, religious members, and the laity to honor decades of selfless service to God and the community.

A Solemn Eucharistic Celebration

The highlight of the day was the Holy Eucharist, presided over by His Excellency Mar Peter Kochupurackal, Bishop of Palakkad. During his homily, the Bishop praised the jubilarians for their steadfast love and dedication, echoing the event's theme from Psalm 136:1: "O Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; for His steadfast love endures forever."

Honoring the Jubilarians

The ceremony recognized eight sisters for reaching significant milestones in their religious lives:

Golden Jubilarians (50 Years of Service):

  • Sr. Rosaritta

  • Sr. Elsy Jose

  • Sr. Jessy Maria

  • Sr. Jaya Rose

  • Mother Shalini

Silver Jubilarians (25 Years of Service):

  • Sr. Linda Maria

  • Sr. Jipsy Therese

  • Sr. Priya Rose

A Community in Gratitude

The Provincial Superiors, Sr. Rose Ann CMC (Jai Christo Province, Palakkad), and Sr. Shalini CMC (Jai Rani Province, Coimbatore) expressed their immense joy and profound gratitude for the sisters' contributions to the mission of the CMC.

"Your valuable prayers and esteemed presence are the pillars that support our religious commitment," stated the invitation issued by the provinces.

The liturgical celebration was followed by an Agape, a communal meal where guests and well-wishers joined the jubilarians in a spirit of fellowship and celebration. The event served as a beautiful reminder of the enduring power of a life dedicated to spiritual service
