CMC Jaichristo Province Inaugurates Golden Jubilee Year with Solemn Celebrations

PALAKKAD – The Golden Jubilee celebrations of the CMC Jaichristo Province were solemnly inaugurated on May 16, 2026, at the Jaichristo Provincial House in Palakkad. Marked by an atmosphere of prayer, gratitude, and communal joy, the event officially commenced a year-long journey of thanksgiving and spiritual renewal.
Highlights of the Sacred Liturgy
Logo Unveiling & Holy Mass: The inaugural ceremony began with the unveiling of the official Jubilee logo by Bishop Emeritus Mar Jacob Manathodath, followed by a solemn Holy Mass.
Symbolic Offertory: Highlighting the province's deep-rooted connections, the special offertory procession was led by former Provincials alongside the Provincial Superiors of the Thrissur, Irinjalakuda, Coimbatore, and Indore Provinces. Sr. Flower represented all Mother Superiors of the Jaichristo Province.
Lighting of the Lamp: The ceremonial lamp was lit by Bishop Mar Jacob Manathodath, Fr. Jeejo Chalakkal, and Fr. Ashish Perumpuzhayil, alongside former Superior General Mother Edward, current Provincial Superior Mother Rose Ann, and the province's eldest and youngest members, Sr. Calista and Sr. Neenu Therese.
Following the Holy Mass, the Bishop blessed the Jubilee candles. In a significant act of commissioning, Provincial Superior Mother Rose Ann distributed the blessed candles and copies of the Jubilee prayer to the Superiors of all convents under the Jaichristo Province, ensuring the fire of renewal spreads to every local community.
The day concluded with a joyful agape gathering, fostering fellowship and unity among the participants, priests, and religious sisters. The grand inauguration stands as a memorable milestone of praise to God for half a century of abundant blessings and impactful ministry.
