St. William’s Parish Edathanattukara Hosts Insightful Seminar on International Women’s Day

EDATHANATTUKARA: In celebration of International Women’s Day 2026, a special seminar for women was organized at St. William’s Parish, Edathanattukara. The event, which focused on the vital theme "The Role of Women in the Family," saw active participation from the members of the parish and the Mathruvedi unit.

Empowering the Domestic Church

The keynote session was led by Sr. Rogi CMC, the Vicar Provincial of the Jai Christo Province. During her address, Sr. Rogi emphasized that women are the heartbeat of the family, playing a dual role in nurturing spiritual values and maintaining emotional stability within the home. She highlighted how a woman's leadership within the "domestic church" shapes the future of the community.

A Warm Welcome and Graceful Greetings

The program commenced with a welcome address by the Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Dhanesh Kalan, who lauded the women of the parish for their selfless contributions to church activities and family life.

Sr. Vineetha, the Mathruvedi Animator, offered her felicitations, speaking on the global significance of Women’s Day and the need for continued support for women's empowerment within the ecclesiastical framework.

Conclusion

The event concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Mrs. Lissy Jacob, President of the Mathruvedi Unit, who expressed gratitude to the speakers and the participants for making the seminar a resounding success.
